The installation of hangar doors to withstand the tough workload and harsh weather conditions with very strong winds also increases the working space at RG Tanna Coal Terminal in Queensland, Australia.

The need for a safe and secure door led to a solution where an original steel frame was retrofitted with new ASSA ABLOY hangar doors from ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems.

The installed hangar door systems, each 11.8 meters wide x 8.0 meters high provide safety for heavy equipment maintenance personnel and contribute to improved working conditions for staff while increasing working space.

Withstanding heavy wind loads

One great benefit is the ability to withstand really heavy wind loads, our hangar doors are resistant to high winds and hostile environments with a fabric that could withstand at least 4.0 kPa wind load. The installation with connecting hangar door systems means that each door can be used independently but also allows maximum opening.
