Minimized energy loss with industrial doors

When the largest car dealer in Belgium looked for a solution to doors being left open by delivery drivers at night, they chose overhead sectional doors and high performance doors with interlocked opening, from ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems.

The doors facilitated the automatic opening and closing using photocells, instantly solving the problem and reducing energy loss to a minimum.

D'Ieteren's spare parts center at Kortenberg is a large building where components are loaded night and day, and empty packaging is returned by non-group partners and suppliers. However, drivers sometimes forget to close the door after offloading empty packaging. This led to the company losing energy and having higher bills as doors were often kept open throughout the night.

Minimizing heat loss

Once a combination of ASSA ABLOY overhead sectional doors and high-speed rolling doors were installed, controlled by a closed control box, it is impossible for drivers to leave the doors open. As soon as the overhead sectional door opens, the rolling door closes and vice versa, reducing energy loss to a minimum.

"ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems has proven a valuable partner by actively participating in the search for the right solution to our problem. We are very satisfied with the result, which has already proven its worth and effectiveness."
Harald Koninckx, Deputy Site Manager.
