North Rocks Shopping Centre | SL500 with ADS-F Intrusion Protection System

With concerns for night-time security on one of their main external doors, the owners of North Rocks Shopping Centre engaged Architectural firm i2C to nominate a suitable solution that would be able to meet the demands of a high pedestrian traffic area in a seamless, safe and secure design

They specified the ASSA ABLOY SL500 automatic sliding door operator with Intrusion Protection System door framing, due to its clean and versatile design and advanced security features.

The sliding door operator was mounted to the back of a newly installation aluminium shopfront, with the door panels and sidelights utilising the IPS framing.

The end result was not only an aesthetically pleasing solution, but also a very practical one with the SL Intrusion Protection System providing enhanced security against forced entry and vandalism. This was achieved by the cores features of this system - interlocking door profiles with locating pins, recessed floor track, strengthened electromechanical locking and laminated glazing.
