Based in Melbourne’s CBD Australia, Gilbert + Tobin was founded in 1988 by Danny Gilbert and Tony Tobin as a small team of lawyers focused on providing excellent legal advice on high-profile, complex matters.
PROJECT
ASSA ABLOY was presented with a unique brief. The challenge was to automate a line of ten-door panels that would move in unison whilst keeping the automation completely hidden. These doors would serve a show-stopper to clients, as well as show the innovation of Gilbert + Tobin. The end panel had a requirement to be used a single-entry point including the ability to operate independently of the other doors when required.
CHALLENGE
As well as being aesthetically pleasing, with no automation visible, the doors have to serve a practical purpose, and allow a large number of people quick and seamless access to and from their boardroom as well as blend in with the architectural elements of the building - all whilst moving in complete unison of each other.
SOLUTION
ASSA ABLOY specified, recommended, supplied, installed and commissioned ASSA ABLOY’s SW200-OHC operators, with concealed pivot arms. A total of 10 doors was utilised to cover the entire length of the boardroom.
