Tooling Tech Trainee
Tooling Technician Trainee
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Tooling Technician Trainee. This position will be responsible for responsible for the changeover and set up of tube mill roll tooling to support operations and equipment for continuous operation during the shift.
What you will be doing:
- Safety, quality, priorities above all
- Maintain clean, safe, organized work area, 5S
- Cross Training of team members on mill set ups
- Ability to follow standardized set up charts
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
The skills and experience you need:
- High school or equivalent
- Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure, micrometers.
- Work with well with other for support of equipment safety and operation.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to retain information that is being taught and shown.
- Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames
- Good Mechanical Aptitude
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
- Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions to support mill requirements.
- Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
