About the Role

Reporting to the National Projects Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing of a range of on-site services including but not limited to Profiling, certification and maintenance of fire rated door sets and after sales services.  Providing these services efficiently and effectively and meeting expected standards for quality and safety. This position is based in Tingalpa or Redcliff Qld.

 

** Must have QBCC Licensed for Certification of Fire Doors & Shutters.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Door Profiling

  • Co-ordinate on site Profiling measures – liaise with clients and Spence Sales Staff and Project Administrators; to establish measure dates in accordance with client requirements, construction programs and access
  • Determine as much as is practicable correct installation of frames and floor levels.
  • Administer report for aspects of poor installation; frame and or floor issues
  • Co-ordinate re-visits to site for measuring of previously unmeasurable door sets
  • Co-ordinate on-site inspection of fire rated door sets– liaise with clients and Spence staff to establish inspection dates in accordance with client requirements, construction programs and building access.
  • Confirm details per Schedule of Evidence (SoE) documents and drawings provided, are consistent with the as-built.
  • Issue Certification Checklist to builder / client
  • Raise fire door tags consistent with provided document sets and register the fire door tags per established protocol.
  • Raise and issue Certification Non Compliance (CNC) report to both the Builder / Client, and PA / Sales Staff

 

Certification

  • Co-ordinate on site re-inspections of fire rated door sets, where initial inspection was unsuccessful / incomplete
  • Make minor installation adjustments where considered appropriate
  • Upon completion of Inspection and tagging process; complete Schedule of Evidence

Defect / Warranty

  • Contact client to book inspection date / time for defect / warranty inspections
  • Carry out on site defect / warranty inspections, per established protocols
  • Complete defect / warranty report
  • Generate reports as required, and as per Site Services Manager requirements.

About you

As a senior employee you will be able to work autonomously with excellent organisational skills and strong people management skills. You will be a clear communicator and can manage and prioritise multiple projects at once and work towards meeting deadlines.

 

Qualifications:

  • QBCC Licensed for Certification of Fire Doors & Shutters
  • Sound level of proficiency in basic administrative systems
  • Proficiency in Proliner (electronic) measuring of door openings, and associated software uploading

Experience:

  • Experience in certification (inspection and tagging) of fire-rated doors and shutters per AS1905.1 / AS1530.4, and maintenance inspections per AS1851
  • Experience in installation of fire-rated doors and door hardware
  • Experience in basic administrative systems
  • Experience in Proliner (or similar) electronic measuring system
