Supervisor, Manufacturing Support

Ameristar Perimeter Security is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Support Supervisor.  This position will be responsible for supervising and coordination of the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment (air compressors, generators, etc.). This includes overseeing employees and contractors that installs, inspects, repairs, and maintains building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management and wastewater discharge.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Track facilities service requests, and ensure requests are completed within established timelines and quality standards.
  • Schedule and ensure completion of inspections and preventative maintenance of facilities systems and equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and effective working environment.
  • Train team on policies and procedures.
  • Request quotes from, and coordinate work/jobs with, contractors and skilled trades.
  • Make day-to-day decisions for the Facilities Maintenance, Skid building, Rack repair, Burn off ovens, Blast Booth, Stock room, Fleet, and on-site contractors.
  • Generate and manage spending requisitions for all that is required.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain team to handle day to day task.
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs.
  • Complete additional tasks as needed.

The skills and experience you need: 

  • High school or equivalent
  • Experience in using special measuring devices, tape measure, micrometer, calipers.
  • Demonstrated ability of record keeping of KPI to understand cost impact of equipment and people within the department.
  • Experience with 5S and continuous improvement activities
  • Experience with dealing with different levels and back grounds of personnel within the company
  • Experience with JDE, Microsoft
  • Experience with PPE, fundamental safety, and OSHA 
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal with coworkers
