The Extended Sustainability Mode: What is it?

The Extended Sustainability Mode is a new configurable mode, which is intended to reduce the energy in use footprint of a sliding door operator. Here’s how it works:

1.    Component management: When the sliding door isn’t in use, the system switches off non-essential components (such as locks, sensors, and motors. This power-down ensures the selected components no-longer consume any energy when they are idle for extended periods of time.

2.    Energy savings: By implementing the Extended Sustainability Mode, our sliding doors can reduce energy by more than 23%. This calculation is based on actual power consumption measurements and the use case provided in our third-party verified EPD. This use case considers 6 hours ON, 6 hours idle, 12 hours OFF.
