Location: Finland (Joensuu, Espoo or Tampere)

The ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions EMEIA division leads the development within door openings and products for access solutions in homes, businesses, and institutions. Our offering includes doors, door and window hardware, locks, access control and service. The division has an annual turnover of €2billion and 12,000 employees, with commercial and operational activities managed through 13 Market Regions across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.

 

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Digital and Access Solutions (DAS) product segment. This role will report to the Director & Head of Product Line Management for our Key-based Digital Cylinders Product Unit. This is a temporary position for leave cover for approximately 15 months. 

                  

What you would do as Project Manager

This role will be responsible for coordinating product development projects within our Digital Access Solution organization.

 

Your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Manage multiple development projects to scope and budget so that each project member always knows what, why and when their input is needed

  • Work with projects that combine software, electronics and mechanics in digital locking solutions

  • Contribute to project planning including scope, objectives, costs and staffing requirements ensuring also technical feasibility and high quality of the project outcomes

  • Facilitate communication and ensure that all relevant parties have the information they need to succeed

  • Have tight grip of the status of the project, and ensure that project documentation is up to date

  • Coordinate and collaborate actively with other project managers, programme managers and other stakeholders in the ASSA ABLOY group

 

The skills and experience you need

To be successul in this role, we belive the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

 

  • A brave, development oriented colleague with systematic approach and good project management skills

  • Good interaction, communication and negotiation skills, with ability to inspire others

  • Strong customer centric mindset

  • Self-initiative, problem-solving ability and a responsible approach to doing

  • Experience on working in projects that involve electronics, embedded software and software solutions

  • Scrum master certification or knowledge of other agile methodologies is a big plus

 

As our common business language, fluency in spoken and written English is essential. Applications from candidates with proficiency in a second major European language are highly desired. A willingness to travel within EMEIA is also required.
