We’re expanding our Commercial Segment, seeking to a Software Engineer Intern in the embedded Solutions Architect group within our Access Egress Hardware Group (AEHG).
This position will sit onsite in Berlin, CT. This position will report to the Engineering Manager, Embedded Solutions.
What you will be doing
As a Spring Software Intern on the Solutions Architect team, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate and learn from experienced system architects with expertise in hardware, firmware, software, and cloud connectivity. This internship will provide hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in the field.
- Conduct research and implement applicable AI/ML algorithms, utilizing Python examples for IoT edge devices.
- Develop Python or Bash scripts to analyze log files for state-of-the-art electrical access control and edge devices.
- Apply AI/ML algorithms to process device configuration log files.
- Record and analyze data for global engineering teams, contributing critical decision-making insights.
- Create diagrams and documentation to support solution architects in designing and implementing solution strategies.
What we are looking for
- Junior or Senior standing in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of shell scripting (e.g., PowerShell or Bash).
- Foundational understanding of Python programming, including the use of ML/AI algorithm libraries for data processing.
- Familiarity with essential hardware tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Fundamental knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
