Basic objective
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized accounting manager to join our dynamic finance team.
In this role, you will manage a dedicated team of finance professionals to execute daily & monthly and yearly accounting, administrative & finance activities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead& manage a finance team to execute accounting and administrative tasks.
- Improve accounting processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency, while providing strong coaching to develop team members
- Prepare & file monthly VAT reports and related topics
- Control & signoff monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Ensure closing & reporting are executed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner
- Coordinate the internal control initiatives and internal audits from HQ
- Liaise with external auditors, prepare annual report & tax return
- Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding financial audits and reporting
- Comply with AA financial policies & guidance
- Support quarterly & annual budget process.
Relationships
Accounting Manager will be part of the local leadership team and will support the organization to meet its targets complying with AA code of conduct.
Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree is a plus
- You possess strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
- Able to act as a business partner with the various functions and to navigate in a matrix organization
- Work autonomously with strong sense of accountability, challenge status quo & demonstrate initiative
- Team player, good communicator, hands-on mentality
- Good knowledge of Dutch and English
- People management experience is required
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel). Knowledge of ERP-systems is an asset
- Experience with IFRS is a plus
