What you would do as our International Automotive Project Engineer

Our expertise in customer journey mapping, innovation, and service design leads to the invention of new solutions that create value for our clients and exceptional experiences for their end users. And we have the fantastic opportunity available in Key and Asset Management for an International Automotive Project Engineer. Part of Global Solutions, Key and Asset Management provide intelligent management solutions for keys and equipment. Our key cabinets & locker solutions help all types of organisation’s better control their important assets, improving productivity & accountability, and reducing risk in critical processes. As the International Automotive Project Engineer for the Global solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to oversee projects from sale to delivery, ensuring successful installation, commissioning, testing, and customer training across international markets.

 

You would also:

  • Visit customer sites around EMEIA region.
  • Attend meetings, site visits, deliver/install/commission/test/maintain or repair systems and ensure technical forms are completed and signed off by customer and ensure that systems are installed and tested in accordance with KEYper instructions, requirements and guidance.
  • Operate to Safe Working practices and Instructions complying with H&S, including both KEYper and customer site policies and complete technical report forms and other relevant documentation after each visit and pass to Technical Support team. Provide feedback of any issues to production/R&D departments.
  • Install client software onto customer IT infrastructure to ensure online communication from systems installed and liaise with customer IT regarding Operating Systems and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure that the KEYper products are delivered to the customer in the specifications agreed and the customer site is prepared and ready for installation  and check all orders and build sheets are correct in line with customer expectations and work cross teams to make necessary adjustments.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is willing to travel regularly abroad and within the UK.
  • Has experience of co-ordinating multi-projects at one time, has strong commercial awareness and good interpersonal skills. Automotive dealership background or automotive IT supplier background preferable.
  • Understands 1st and 2nd line support and has strong IT skills and competent installing software using Microsoft products.
  • Is from an automotive background. This person’s responsibility will be to support international markets in implementation and project management of new customer installations, primarily focused on projects and installs in DACH and Italy and other EMEIA markets.
  • Is Multi-lingual, preferably German but Italian or Spanish or another major European language.
