Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…
Reporting to the Senior Lead Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work on a team of bright individuals dedicated to delivering a wide range of comprehensive security products and services to our customers.
What you will do…
- Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
- Organize and update financial records, including inspecting books for efficiency and accuracy
- Perform monthly bank account settlements
- Own the cash application process by matching incoming payments from customers to the corresponding invoices
- Update the accounts receivable ledger to reflect payments
- Perform General Ledger reconciliation by verifying the accuracy and completeness of account balances in the general ledger
- Assist with the month-end close by reconciling accounts, reviewing transactions, and recording journal entries
- Improve current financial processes, recommend, and implement financial processes that improve efficiencies
What we expect of you…
- Motivation and willingness to take ownership and accountability for daily tasks
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally across several tasks at once
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with AP and AR teams
- Ability to work closely with the team to deliver and optimize system performance and efficiencies
Familiarity/Expertise with the following tools/skills...
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices
- Solid knowledge and experience in accounting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience, including proficiency using Pivot Tables
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP, NetSuite is a plus)
- 7 years of minimum experience in accounting required
- Associates degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field is preferred
- Experience with fixed assets depreciation, expense accruals, and daily sales reports
