High-capacity access with improved climate control at retail store

Convenient access to the building and improved indoor comfort for customers and staff was achieved by the installation of a revolving door from ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in the main entrance of the Coop Forum hypermarket in Kungsbacka, Sweden.
The combined supermarket and department store needed a large, welcoming entrance with plenty of capacity for shoppers with trolleys and prams. The ASSA ABLOY RD3L's spacious compartments can handle heavy pedestrian traffic without compromising its state-of-the-art safety features.
Improved separation of the indoor and outdoor climate
Energy savings and indoor comfort were also key considerations in developing the solution since the building's location and orientation expose the entrance to high winds. Revolving doors have the benefit of being "always closed", preventing draughts and limiting air exchange between the indoor and outdoor climates.
