Large wind-resistant doors for Italian marina
Hangar doors, specifically designed to operate in extreme conditions, were perfectly suited to the specific conditions and demands of Marina del Gargano.
The buildings are located very close to the sea, exposing the marina to demanding climate conditions. Building materials are exposed to natural corrosion and the lack of surrounding hills exposes the marina to strong seasonal winds
Needing a door solution that offered a large clearance, and that could withstand these demanding conditions, the marina installed ASSA ABLOY hangar doors from ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems for both their storage facility and their workshop.
Meeting specific local requirements
In addition to the standard supplies, the doors were adapted to meet specific local conditions, such as wind resistance class up to 0.7KN/meters.
Other requirements included cubed guard motors, profiles in plastic polymers to cover aluminum parts which are exposed to natural corrosion, and protection cover for the limit-switch boxes. All demands were met.
