ASSA ABLOY acquire Leatherneck Hardware in the US
On December 23, 2020, ASSA ABLOY acquired Leatherneck Hardware, a specialty door hardware manufacturer headquartered in Danville, Illinois. Leatherneck Hardware is a second-generation family-owned business established in 1977, specializing in Commercial / Aircraft Hangar Door hardware.
This acquisition will further support our vision to be the preferred supplier and subcontractor for large openings commonly found in Aviation, Shipyards, Mining, and Heavy Industry. As the global leader in Aircraft Hangar Doors, this is a major step to meet the unmet global market demand to offer both the Vertical Lifting Fabric Door as well as the Bottom Rolling Hangar Door technology.
